I feel like we've been figuratively crossing paths for a while now. I found your voice when I briefly lived in Victoria, BC. I lived between Revelstoke and Kamloops (various places) for the past 14 years. I have to say, from my own experience, that your neighbors are not well-meaning. I would love to hear that I am wrong about that.
I loved the day-to-day narrative of your joys and tribulations throughout September and the move to Kelowna. I have faced that stack of boxes and the "How do I have so much f-ing stuff?? !!!" feeling of every move
I can absolutely relate to your poetry. I especially loved 'Paradise'.
I am now in Winnipeg, MB.
So you understand why I'm saying we've been crossing paths.
Oh wow Natasha I think our paths are meant to cross. I don’t know when that will be because right now you’re in Winnipeg my (birthplace) and I am here in Kelowna, but I think we could talk on Messenger till that happens.
Thank you for all the positive feedback. It really helps. (cause it’s lonely just writing wondering if people are enjoying it or even have the time to join me for a few minutes every month. I am really pleased that you can relate to my poetry especially “Paradise “. I’m smiling cause It’s kinda a “No Drama Declaration “ isn’t it?
I've been waiting for your Little Light! So happy to see it arrive here today. I hope the unpacking will soon be all over - it's dreadful, I know, having moved uncountable times in my life and planning to do it again hopefully in the next couple years. Love your poems about Jamaica! Of course you know how I feel about JA and her people & I can't wait to be your neighbour at NBBC!! It's gonna be so much fun doing nothing!! We need to do a video chat before you leave! Love you!!
I have friends and family from both sides of the Democratic/Republican divide. I refuse to let politics be the thing that decides who I associate with. Rather I choose to listen with compassion and love and to try and find that which brings us together. It is always sweet to hear from you and widen my perspective as a result; and I love your poetry.
You are obviously way better person than I am. I choose to not want to associate, promote, or love people who are racists, homophobic, and abusive. I can’t listen to them with compassion and love. I wish I could say I could. Some choices are a deal breaker for me. I may need more therapy 😊
Thank you for this ! I am so happy that I met you, and talked & laughed with you ! Your poetry (& prose) uplift me ....... today at my "church" Kelowna Unitarians we celebrated our 8 Principles in poetry and song. Principle Six: We affirm and promote the goal of world community with peace, liberty and justice for all. the poem "A Network of Mutuality" by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was shared and I could only think: Dr. King is dead and Donald Trump lives - to me, proof that there is not an all-knowing God that is involved in our reality of humanity. Bonnie Williams
Oh wow! I would’ve loved to been there to hear the principles of poetry song you know me poetry is my heart. Y the way I love Principles number 6 and number 8 ( if that’s the Principle about doing Anti Black Racism involvement promotion/education)

Hope to see you soon,
Great story. Your new neighbors are fantastic! It'd be great to have communities like this all over the world!
Glad you got moved and are slowly putting things back together, and enjoy your trip to Jamaica! It looks and sounds lovely.
